"He was very patient"
I walked into David’s office Scared, nervous, anxious and my heart rate was probably over 100. The District Attorney’s Office Had just reached out to me in regards to being prosecuted for Medicaid fraud. Which if convicted, would probably mean jail time for me. I am a mom of 4, and a wife, thus going to jail was never an option for me and my family.
I was referred to David by a family friend. As I sat in his office with so much doubts about my future, David walked in with the brightest smile on his face he gave me the most comforting hug though he had just met me
David walked in with the brightest smile on his face he gave me the most comforting hug though he had just met me. He listened intently to me, all while taking notes. He was brutally honest when it came time for his feedback, about my chances at beating the charges, and also he did not hesitate to tell me the changes I needed to make in my own life so I would not be back in the same situation. I hired him the same day because of his honesty, and the confidence he gave me. He stated: “ You are In for a long flight but I promise to be right by your side while fighting I will be your shield and I will be your armor.” David was always available to me via cell phone and text. If I was having an anxiety attack in the middle of the night I would not hesitate to call David and he always answered. When it was time to turn myself in, David explained the process step-by-step to me. He was in court waiting on me what before my arraignment. Of all the things I personally witnessed, One thing stuck out to me the most; David is well known and respected by all Assistant district attorney’s, by the district attorneys and judges and court officials in the district of Kings County. He was him self a former prosecutor there. He has great work ethic, I saw this first hand as he was always in court before me with his nice suit and bright smile.
David had me in his office once every two weeks to work out the details of the case and to help find supporting documents
David had me in his office once every two weeks to work out the details of the case and to help find supporting documents. I stayed as long as I wanted. I never felt that he was rushing me out of his office, or he had another client that was more important than me, while In his presence, it was all about me.
He was very patient when I couldn’t obtain certain supporting documents. When I obtained letters of recommendation/character letters he would reach our to the person and make suggestions on the wording and grammar.
He was also patient with the district attorney whom initially played hardball. David knew just how to soften her up with an extensive PPI package that was submitted on my behalf. The District Attorney’s Office even complemented David in front of me about the extensive of that package that was submitted on my behalf. Ultimately David wisdom his connection that bright smile and that expensive package. Even when the district attorney was unavailable days after days, after days, of phone call David never lost patience. Ultimately David’s wisdom, his networking, and that expensive package won. Instead of being convicted of multiples charges such as Medicaid fraud, possession of a forged instrument, grand larceny, and going to jail for up to three years; I plead guilty to only one charge of petty larceny, and paid the restitution in full. This was better than the outcome, that I expected and also better than the outcome David himself predicted.
